The People and Places grant (up to $2000) is available for individuals, communities, and small local businesses to run placemaking activities that bring people together and activate local spaces.
Before submitting your application
- Read the People and Places Grant Guidelines.
- Set up a meeting with the City’s Placemaking Officer to talk about your idea.
- Have or be ready to get Public Liability Insurance worth at least $20 million if your activity needs it.
- If your application is approved, finish your activity within 12 weeks (unless otherwise agreed upon with the City) of getting the grant.
- Get permission from the property owner if needed. For most properties, this is the land owner. If you want to use public land (like a footpath), get approval from the City of Belmont.
- Answer all the questions and include any documents needed. Incomplete applications won’t be accepted.
- Fill out and submit your application online.
